Out of curiosity I took a look at the website in the link provided in the article. I didn't complete the feedback questions but did browse through them.

The second question made me chuckle.

    "Do you currently use cannabis?"
    Yes
    No
    Prefer not to say

 I'm sure third selection results will be counted as affirmative after it's legal.

No problems answering NO as it asks if I'm a current user. The cookie that's been in the freezer over 2 years and the fact I haven't had a toke in 4 or 5 attest to that.

I commented in that it should be sold in LCBs and private weed stores, in an always staffed no under 19s allowed area and must be openly displayed and customers able to smell the products.
And that no marijuana license should be granted to a private liquor store or the holder of a liquor license. The object is to create NEW businesses, not concentrate existing ones.

    Anyone disagree with that?

I don't smoke it either, but all your suggestions seem reasonable.

"Laws X, Y and Z are now rescinded."

    Complicated.

Sounds good! Thats how it should be in all Provinces. The more jobs created the better.

Some of the municipalities talked today about how they're supposed to deal with making bylaws, extra enforcement officers and "extra police costs".
I was just wondering how you need extra police to NOT enforce laws that no longer exist...
Uhhh we're gonn a have to stop everyone suspected of being a user and check ID and go into every single house to ensure there are four or less plants 100cm high?

The PM meets with the premiers this week, they plan to discuss legalization. I hope he tells them that as of July 1st if they want to collect tax and license fees get their shit together. Otherwise the status quo exists, but nobody gets busted for possession. And they can't use RCMP to raid pot shops because they didn't get their rules in place.

Preliminary results from over 20,000 responders shows there is strong support for a mixed model distribution system.
Existing dispensaries are getting a lot of support, and of course the union that represents the LCB workers is happy too.
Horgan says there will be no actual decisions until after the poll closes and results are considered. It runs until Nov. 1st
