Restrictions on travel to British Columbia's backcountry and campfires are slowly being lifted in some parts of the province as improved conditions have lowered the wildfire risk.

    SOME......bans and restrictions have been lifted. Not everyone reads beyond the headlines which the CBC might have taken into consideration before neglecting to place the adjective at the head of the sentence.

    Yeah, too true! it wouldn't have taken any effort on their part to add.... "in the Cariboo region" to the headline. It got me all excited, figured it was time to plan a road trip out of town for a few days. But I'm definitely not heading all the way to the Cariboo just so I can do a little camping out and have a nice little campfire..... :twisted: :twisted:

    Oh goodee! I can dig thru the Halloween stuff for my old Capt. Highliner outfit and go outside make a campfire!

    They should have the headline with "In the Cariboo Region..."


    Don't worry Hyack. Once we get some significant enough rain they'll be able to lift the ban around here too. You'll have a chance to go camping yet!
