well, maybe if Trudeau didn't open his big yappy mouth and tell all these people to come here because we would take them. I wonder why they get this idea that they all could magically stay? The left is sure backing away from their idiot leaders comments now!

I doubt he thought our board would be a floodgate or that he thought at all before the comment. And we will be paying for the comment for years to come

He never advised refugees to cross illegally. But hey, let's not dwell on facts here when there is a perfectly good rant to be had!

Yet they will keep voting for him because it's 2015 - 2017 or something.

Of course he didn't but look at the numbers. There has been a marked increase since his comment Just as the numbers changed after Trump got in.

It's not really a rant as much as a reality. They are here and will be here for a while even if they are denied. In the meantime kids have to go to school, food needs to be bought, clothes too. Not to mention housing it's not like Canada just has an abundance of empty houses/apartments. I don't know about your area but mine has very few empty with long waiting lists at all the big rental places.

No Lieberal ever thought of those things.
Those kinds of problems don't exist, just bring them in as fast as possible.
But hey, since Edmonton now wants to virtue signal their sanctuaryness,
Codere should line up the buses right away !

Rumors are incessant, and with Trump going hot, then cold, then tepid, refugees in the US don't know what to do. So rumors start flying around, and many are getting bad advice. That was Trudeau's message here.

They might be coming here, but they'll also be leaving soon as well. Yes, it costs money to allow them the legal right to apply for refugee status and have their day in court - but that's how it has to be otherwise we run the risk of ignoring an actual refugee who might need our help.

In my area, housing sucks the opposite of yours. People have abandoned places, getting evicted or foreclosed, house prices are dropping. I've been trying to sell my place for almost 2 years, and only get 3 or 4 showings a year! Dropped the price a couple times. No takers.

But that has nothing to do with refugees, that's the Saudis playing fast and loose with oil prices.

More than that: the numbers have gone up suspiciously. Someone's marketing the idea and bringing them to the border, making money doing it. RCMP should be in the USA investigating that angle.

Truthfully with all the contradictions out of Trump I am not surprised that people began coming over. Not sure i would trust that administration with my children. But really this is a game changer. His comment was inviting without thought for all those pesky problems of reality. I doubt that there are enough people trained to handle even the basics for immigration paper work. There is a hell of a lot of prep before they get their day in court. They can't stay where they are for too long. Tents suck in winter they are livable but most people would think it a violation of their rights. As the numbers grow it's becoming a daunting task

They have no right to illegally cross a border. If they didn't want to spend a Canadian winter in a tent, they should have jumped the border to Belize. ;)

Is this a law, a treaty agreement or a treaty agreement that has become law allowing illegals to jump the border and pretend they're refugees.

Whatever it is, it's stupid and something should be done to change it.

And yes by inference and by refusing to do anything to stop it Trudeau did allow this invading storm of illegals.

And I don't believe the now swamped and always was inefficient bureaucracy will ever be able to get clear the current mess of illegals Trudeau and his Liberals allowed in.

All we can do now is get tough and stop the idiocy from continuing. But all we're getting so far are empty words from PM Curly-top.

    Ooooh! Oooh!
    Build a wall!
Put them in real jails. Think of the jobs 10,000 new screws and all the infrastructure jobs. Way better than army tents and donations!
Put a guard every 100 yards along the border. 20,000 new jobs!
Put them in old ships like the Komagata Maru let them suffer then sail them back where they belong!
Charge everyone coming into Canada a $100 entry fee. Even returning Canadians!
They're not Canadians they have no civil rights. We can shoot them if they put one foot across the border!

Got any actual ideas beside whinging about it? Even your beloved Conservatives are only bitching there's not enough resources to process them, which obviously wouldn't please you either. But keep blaming Trudeau... it's all you're capable of.
