The sport involves navigating a series of courses, ducking, running, bobbing and weaving as you shoot a handgun at targets, reloading your weapon as you go. Approximately 380 competitors were on hand for the nationals.

    I shot in a bunch of local IPSC matches back in the late 70's, and have the trophys to prove it.... :wink: Was disappointed with the bigger, provincial matches as everyone seemed to need to win every course they shot, arguments everywhere over procedures, the match rules or even a single point, kind of took a lot of the fun out of the matches. As for the targets shooting back, I was hit dead centre in the chest by a 240 gn. .45 cal soft lead slug that ricocheted back from a steel target set on the 50 yard line......
