On the upside the economy in Washington State will prosper what with all the businesses that'll shortly flee to Seattle from Vancouver.

It's kind of an eternal wave of back and forth, or never learning here in BC.

We get fat and lazy. We vote in socialists. The province goes to shit. We vote out the socialists. We get fat and lazy. We vote in socialists...

    And on and on.

I guess it's a little different now, because we've added baby-step Communism to the mix with the Greens, but same shit different pile.

BC politics definitely got interesting yesterday.

I don't see the NDP/Green government lasting too long either. They still have the same numbers problem the Liberals did.

If the Greens were smart they would have propped up the Liberals and extracted concessions from them. The way things are now, will all but guarantee an election likely this year.

    This will be good.

Given the fact that the Liberal Speaker of the House just resigned it means that the vote count in the Legislature will be 43 to 43 and unless the Speaker which will have to be a Green or NDP member completely disregards protocol and votes party affiliation which he isn't supposed to do when he has to break the draw, this province may start to look alot like 1960's Italy in a very short period of time.

Well that and if any elected member of the Alliance of Evil gets sick or misses a session for any reason you know what's coming from the Liberal side of the House. ROTFL

But to be honest. I hope Horgan and Weaver aren't stupid enough to try and kill site C and the Trans Mountain pipeline in their quest to fulfill BC's portion of the NDP leap manifesto because, the damage done to the economy of this province might just be irreparable.

I guess we shall see what happens next.

To have another election will be costly but if necessary so be it. I have a feeling that the result won't change all that much though unless Horgan makes some unfavourable decisions right away.

I can't see this lasting. We may not be having an election immediatly, but see Freakinoldguys' post for why it won't be long...

The pundits have always said BC politics were a blood sport and now we'll get to see why.

That sounds like the tune of all the lying sacks of shit who called the radio shows to say they didn't vote Green to prop up the NDP.
You really think they'd support the party opposed to everything they stand for? Pipelines, tankers, Mt Polley?
The party without even the slightest of ideological morals as their final Throne speech proved?
Really. Every single person who voted Green voted SPECIFICALLY AGAINST the BC Liberals.

The only advantage of this is that the politicians will be too busy
screwing each other to be able to screw up the province.
