Make no mistake, there is plenty of talent available in the 2017 draft. But for all the talk that this year's talent pool isn't deep, there are still plenty of good players available in the first round and beyond.
The Canucks will be the only Canadian team drafting in the top 5, so of course the CBC only offers up names that are unlikely to be interesting or available in that range.
Here's a roundtable of Canucks people telling us who the Vancouver ...pardon me, Canucks might be interested in.
"raydan" said I don't know about you guys, but I'm fascinated.
You should be.
The Canadiens should be watching this draft. They just sent away their top defensive prospect Sergachev to Tampa Bay for Jonathan Drouin.
Theres no doubt about it: the Canadiens need to add more prospects to their rather shallow pool. Thankfully, Marc Bergevin and Trevor Timmins will start to restock the cupboard tonight during the 2017 NHL Entry Draft.
But hey, not to worry we'll tip the cup to you guys when our picks are fully developed and you're still wondering why you don't have anything decent coming up through the ranks.
Sick and tired of people qualifying everything online... fascinating, the best, you won't believe your eyes/ears, OMG incredible. Let me look or read and decide by myself if I find it fascinating.
'Blah, blah, blah...' says Jim, "we like big, fast centers who can set up plays and have character. Canadian heart and European skill."
Nobody checks all those boxes like Cody Glass. So the draft comes and Cody is sitting there waiting and Benning says, "Wait, Glass is too much exactly what we want. I know, let's take that scrawny little Swede with the pencil arms."
I'm going to invent a term. 'Doing a Benning.' It's when 9 out 10 people say something is a no-brainer then you say, "No, wait. What's the dumbest possible thing we could do in this situation. Let's do that." That's doing a Benning.
That's it for me. I want Benning gone. Linden too.
I might become a Las Vegas fan. They've made nothing, but great moves.

Fascinating...
It is, isn't it? You should tune in at 7 o'clock your time to see how much worse your team is going to suck in a few years.
I'm hoping mine is going to do better. We need a top 2 centre or a defenceman who can run the powerplay. Fingers crossed.

But thanks for continuing to drive this link here up to #1 on the recently viewed list.
If you can just keep it up until about 8 o'clock that should be good.
Don't know where you watch it out East.

Only if this years draftees were all like this.
Vive les Habs.
