"I find that the defendant's dominant motive in these blog posts was ill will, and that his repeated failure to take even basic steps to check his facts showed a reckless disregard for the truth,"

Pretty much sums up Ezra and the "Rebel".

And he's already lined up his next lawsuit too this past week. An Ontario regional airline, Porter Air, had their ads taken off of The Rebel site where they were automatically being posted. Levant went into a Trump-level twitter frenzy and started calling them a bunch of "anti-semites" for doing so. The guy is a blowhard douche. Always has been, always will be.

Yup. Play the 'Jew' card to try to illicit sympathy. Sad.

"You MUST endorse me and any political opinion I provide or else you're 'blacklisting a Jewish company'!

Gosh Ezra, who is "playing the race card" now?

What a fucking loser. That's a new level of desperate, even for him.

Yeah, he flips out like that just because a business doesn't want to lose money by being accidentally associated with his silly website. Not only did he insult a company for engaging in their free market capitalist choice of deciding where their ads should go, which shows he only believes in capitalism when it benefits him and his buddies. On top of it he also showed that he's one of the biggest crybabies out there, hitting up on the anti-semite libel as fast as he can, despite trying to build a "tough guy" conservative image by calling everyone else "snowflakes" all the time.

Levant "repeatedly tried to minimize his mistakes and his lack of diligence."

"The defendant makes a general assertion that none of the words complained of were defamatory due to the defendant's reputation," she wrote. "There is, however, ample evidence before me demonstrating express malice on the part of the defendant."

Levant also appeared to have little regard for the facts, Matheson found.

"He did little or no fact-checking regarding the posts complained of, either before or after their publication....and with one exception, when he learned that he got his facts wrong, he made no corrections," she wrote.

The fact that Levant himself is a lawyer ought to have made him aware of the "serious ramifications" of his words on Awan's reputation, Matheson added.

"Yet, at trial, he repeatedly tried to minimize his mistakes and his lack of diligence," she wrote.

Pretty much sums up the Deplorables and their sleazy tactics in general.

Daily Caller, Brietbart, The Rebel. Ezra knows how to play cognitive bias to line his pockets.

No wonder so many Rebel 'reporters' have been seen at Milo's parties. ;)

Given his legal losing streak when it comes to libel and defamation I imagine seeing irreLevant in a courtroom must be essentially identical to an old Simpsons episode where Homer wisely hires Lionel Hutz to represent him. Give it some time today too for some classic CKA wackiness, when Fiddy comes in with a video from The Rebel that says the CEO of Porter Air is actually a secret great-grandson of Reinhard Heydrich. Now that's some indisputable proof!

Ezra fights the battle for free speech.

In Canada you're going to lose that battle more than you win it, but every once in awhile he has won one or two the regressive left and their corporate media don't dance around celebrating so fewer people hear about them.

With this one he was fined for calling an anti-semite an anti-semite, and the case he is publicising out of it is not Porter airlines. It's a 70 something year old lady who is being lawfared by the same guy who sued him for putting Christian crosses in her garden.

Personally I think it's Canada's Social Justice lawfare enabling judges who should be named and shamed. Not Ezra.

Ezra is a Canadian hero. The censorious Left keeps attacking him with its only real weapon of shut uppery. He responds by continuing on, calling for politically incorrect justice in many cases throughout the news cycle. New ones each week. The wannabe totalitarians of the left might appear to win a battle here and there, but Ezra and his free speech army is winning the war. Rebel Media just keeps getting bigger. It's global now, and the rest of the world is watching the Canadian injustice system disgrace itself.
