Battle for Raqqa: US-backed forces launch offensive against Islamic State stronghold

The US-backed Syrian Democratic Forces says it's begun an offensive to capture the northern city of Raqqa, the de facto capital of the Islamic State group, after months of clearing operations.

    So Mosul's pretty much retaken and soon no more Raqqa for Pu Pakr and his little gang of homicidal Muppets.

    Might be too little, too late though.

    They're infested throughout the world like ticks now.
