Beloved Vancouver bird Canuck the Crow was struck on the head and knocked unconscious in an unprovoked attack at a children�s soccer tournament Saturday.

    Poor guy.

    I can't get into the minds of people who abuse animals. Just look at that bird, he's not stupid. Having parrots myself, I know that they have pretty much the same emotions we have, and many we don't. Like "malice". They don't have that. But they do have "empathy".

    The guy who did it should be worried. The courts might just slap his wrist, but once his name's in the paper...well...Canuck's got fans. He'll have to move.

    I really hate animal abusers. What did the animal ever do to you? Why is there a need to be cruel? I do hope the people who do this kind of thing get bitten by karma
