Carol Reid was 23 years old when she donned a garland of iris flowers and walked out the door of her Fourth Avenue home to join hundreds of hippies making their way to Stanley Park.
Oh, wowwwwwww man, was it Really 50 years ago, it doesn't feel like it, I missed the '67 Bee In but I was definitely there for the one in '69 and a few others to boot, along with a so called riot or two, thanks to "Terrible Tom" Campbell, Vancouver's hippie hating mayor at the time.....
The summer of 69 I was a wee young boy and this is funny how the image was burnt into my mind. The family vacation took us to the island that summer on the way there we stopped and walked down to the fish ladders at Hells Gate on our way up 2 hippie couples were coming down. One of the young ladies weighed in at about 250 and braless. She started to run and the bounce had me mesmerized. Until that day I had only heard of the so called hippie.
Speaking of hippies where's andyt or did I miss something?
He obviously turned on, tuned in and dropped out.......

Maybe he's doing a re-enactment in the park and doesn't have a 110 plug in.
