I remember seeing a documentary where they had climbed to the top of some mountain in the Torngat range in Northern Labrador, and had found sandstone in the form of waves on the beach.

You know, the little sine wave pattern that waves crashign on the beach make? So, some mountian rose, rain wore it down to sand, then the beach it formed fossilized, turned to stone and rose again to become a mountain. 8O
