    But, it's so easy to miss, tucked away down there.

    Back in August of '93 I was having a beer with friends in the Little B in the north end of Regina. It was Saturday afternoon, I remember these details because I was moving to New Brunswick in a couple of weeks, and two women with Atlantic accents started bumming smokes off me. I started chatting with them, told them I was moving east in a few weeks, then moved over to their table, bought them a beer, and we chatted about life in Atlantic Canada. They were from PEI, so at some point I leaned into one of them and asked;
    "So how many people are there in PEI, maybe 200,000?"
    "Less that that", she sez.
    So I say,"There's more than that here in Regina, where do you get off calling yourself a province?"
    I was leaning forward in my chair when I said this, but she hit me so hard she drove me straight back and rolled me into the aisle. I've been in a few fights and have been punched by some real men, but that chick from PEI could punch with the best of them. I lived in New Brunswick for ten years and never once drove over to PEI. For what? Anne of Green Gables? Potatoes? Red dirt? If the chicks punched that hard, I don't want to fight the guys.

    In 93? Regina had less than 180 000 and didn't crack 200 until 2010 or so. Saskatoon likely did though. PEI is(was) a nice place to visit. Mind you, I haven't been there since I was in fleet school, which was years ago.
