A transgender-issues activist and Democratic candidate for Congress says the advent of the space tourism industry could give private corporations a "frightening amount of power" to destroy the Earth with rocks because of the Moon's military importance.

Welcome to 1930's science fiction novels.

Why do we care what this person thinks?

You're correct, no one should listen to it at all.

Her saying something stupid is supposed to validate the wee psychos of GamerGate with their Pepe the Frog tattoos sending her endless death threats. Or something to that effect, in a way only the ass-blood and bile end of the internet at 4Chan and Reddit is supposed to understand. It's simultaneously complicated and a complete waste of any normal/decent person's time.

I see value in listening to a person's ideas based on their merit. I don't see that the ideas have merit. or don't, simply based on the gender of the person.

I don't know this person, and judging from their statements I can see they know little about orbital mechanics. So they can be safely ignored based on that.

Oh, she's a nut alright. The thing is the Pepe kids sending rapemurderkill threats to her is still wrong even if she's crazy.

She reminds me of this other Democrat politician below, who worried the island of Guam might tip over:

But yeah, those Gamergate feminists were real well-tuned intellectual machines too:

These people have followers. There are people who vote for them. That's why we must notice them, even if it's just to scratch our heads and go... Huh?

Unfortunately none of this is all that difficult. It really just comes from having an acute sense of right vs wrong. When encountering those without the same ability it's basically just shooting fish in a barrel. It's possible to disagree vehemently with those of different stripes. Those though without that core of basic decency? Nope. Absurdity powered by the force of sheer ignorance or gutter mean-ness can't be dealt with rationally or ever fairly. Just give them the ol' metaphorical taser to the nuts and get it over with. :|

So here's what I'm starting to wonder about.

Apparently there are those getting their panties bunched up, because the Washington Times dared to tell you about lunatic ravings from a Democratic candidate, Gamergate celebrity for the SJW side, and transgender activist.

So are these people saying they don't want to hear about it, or are they saying they don't want you to hear about it.

Because if they don't want to hear about it, fine, don't listen. If they're demanding the rest of us not be told about it, they can get stuffed.

Brianna Wu is the latest addition to the Democrat SJW nutbar factory. If you didn't know about it before, you know now. As to those angry about you knowing... PDT_Armataz_01_28

FFS things don't fall off the moon. And why would companies do it? It's possible to 'launch' a rock from the Moon but you'd need to have a rocket and fuel up there to do it, and the military bombs cities not companies.
It's an entirely possible but totally stupid article for a newspaper to publish.

Not quite as stupid as using it to jump into the claimant's politics so you can use all your newspeak bullshit about leftism and SJWs though.
