    Hmm...

    Let's try Reuters then.

National Front presidential candidate Marine Le Pen canceled a meeting on Tuesday with Lebanon's grand mufti, its top cleric for Sunni Muslims, after refusing to wear a headscarf for the encounter.
    http://www.reuters.com/article/us-franc ... SKBN1600R6

Le Pen, among the frontrunners for the presidency, is using a two-day visit to Lebanon to bolster her foreign policy credentials nine weeks from the April 23 first round, and may be partly targeting potential Franco-Lebanese votes.

"Many Lebanese fled to France, Lebanon's former colonial power, during their country's 1975-1990 civil war and became French citizens."

After meeting Christian President Michel Aoun - her first public handshake with a head of state - and Sunni Prime Minister Saad al-Hariri on Monday, she had been scheduled to meet the Grand Mufti Sheikh Abdul Latif Derian"

He heads the Dar al-Fatwa, the top religious authority for Sunni Muslims in the multireligious country.

"I met the grand mufti of Al-Azhar," she told reporters, referring to a visit in 2015 to Cairo's 1,000-year-old center of Islamic learning. "The highest Sunni authority didn't have this requirement, but it doesn't matter.

"You can pass on my respects to the grand mufti, but I will not cover myself up," she said

    Damned uppity Kafir.

She needs to be trained as a good Dhimmi woman. Something more like Ontario's leader.

She's another one with questionable ties to Russia and on this trip also said she would ally with Russian vassal Bashar al Assad - Putin's building quite the collection of little Sputniks in the west with Le Pen, Trump and Farage.

Dork, if you want to go into someone else's temple you might have to take off your shoes, wear a cloth on your head, wear a yarmulke or kneel or make signs.
If you don't want to, you won't get in.
So your speech won't get heard.

So thank God, you won't do it. You can keep preaching to just your own choir.

So I take it that diplomacy won't be one of the strong points of any government she may or may not form. Don't be seen with ribs on your plate during that state visit to Washington or wear a head covering when visiting a traditional Catholic Church. Good plan.

Just curious, but could you please let us know what you think the relationship of the West to Russia should look like? :?:

As long as Putin is in charge it should be cautious, and confrontational when required. If Putin is ever deposed and Russia moves towards being a more responsible state then a warming can begin. Until then though there can be no illusion of friendship or of being seen as rubber-stamping of any of Putin's belligerent actions.

As for Le Pen, Russian puppet or not, refusing to wear the headscarf? R=UP

One where our leaders aren't on their payroll or working for their intelligence services would be nice. Is that too much to ask?

For those who get off on Putin embarrassing Obama they need a reminder that he fooled Dubya just as much too. Bush thought he was a pal after Sept 11 because "I looked into his eyes and saw his soul", which meant nothing when Putin went in an squashed the American's little puppet in Georgia who got in Russia's face in 2008. If anything turned Putin more bellicose towards the West it was Bush putting missile defense in places like Poland that openly antagonized Russia. They were severely pissed off by it and Obama withdrawing the missiles didn't calm them down at all. That's probably why Putin decided to do what he could to buy himself a President in 2016. He's obviously not like the old Soviets were where they were willing to do some give and take to stand-down a situation if the US made an offering or matched a Russian one.

    That wasn't the question.

Let me clarify: Do you want the West to have an adversarial relationship with Russia?

    It sure looks that way.

And if so, are you still opposed to the USA having a comprehensive missile defense like Russia has?

As for her being forced to sit in the back corner that's another right wing lie. Fiddle and friends can't go a day without lying

Here's a pic of het STANDING at FRONT of congregation speaking to them.

Who am I to argue with the world's greatest expert on lying (as in it takes on to know one.)

But I plead confusion, as there seems to be two legitimate ways to view Kathy's visit to the Mosque. This one below offers both up, I think. Feel free to choose either.

Female Ontario Premier Forced To Sit In A Corner While Visiting Mosque

Before she was allowed to deliver a message that "we're all the same," Ontario Premier Kathleen Wynne was forced to sit in the back corner of a Mosque all by herself while the Muslim men prayed.

    From the Toronto Sun:

While the men prayed, she sat patiently in the back corner of the mosque waiting to say the words many in the room were so thankful to hear.

There should be no fear ever in worshipping your God, our God, in Ontario or in Canada, Premier Kathleen Wynne said to the worshippers who came for noon-hour prayers at the Muslim Association of Canadas Masjid Mosque on Dundas St. W [on January 30th].

As-Salam-u-Alaikum (Peace be unto you). Thanks for welcoming me into your house, your home, said Wynne, who also visited the sisters section of the mosque on the second floor. But other than media and her staff, she was the only female in the room for the male prayer.

Our government stands with you. We are not different. We are the same. We are all Canadians.
Wynne is Canada's first openly gay head of government in Canada and the first female Premier of Ontario.

The mosque she spoke at is run by an anti-gay Muslim preacher:

As quoted in the CIJ News in 2015 from a question and answer session on Onislam.net, Imam Wael Shehab said homosexuality is a sinful act in Islam ... Id cite the following fatwa of Dr. Muzammil Siddiqi, president of the Fiqh Council of North America:

We should consider them people who get themselves engaged in a sinful act. We should deal with them in the same way we deal with any people who are involved in alcoholics, gambling or adultery. We should have deep repugnance to their acts and we must remind and warn them.

If they persist he said we should certainly avoid those people.
She didn't bring it up and ignored the issue entirely when the media questioned her on it.

She was forced to sit in the corner while the men prayed before being allowed to approach the men at the front and speak. Even Joe Warmington of the Sun who was impressed by her "grace," admits that.

While the men prayed, she sat patiently in the back corner of the mosque waiting to say the words many in the room were so thankful to hear.

So she was forced to sit in the corner in her hijab. That much is fact. Whether or not you're cool with that is up to you.

Marine wouldn't do it. Kathleen would. That's the truth. If Beave says it's not, he's the liar.

Distortion. She was there to speak after prayer service. She was there waiting to speak after prayers. Saying she was FORCED to sit is a lie and and saying it was "in the back" is also misleading because the "front" of the mosque is the prayer room and the "back" is the entrance if you're going by which direction the members are facing. And also misleading is "while the men prayed". Women were there praying too.

Dishonesty dishonesty dishonesty. That's all you know. But that's ok, you're on a jihad of your own and I'm sure you think that your holy mission justifies your dishonesty.
