I don't know how many hundreds of hours I spent listening to him. This was the first year in a decade I didn't go to his Christmas performance at the Jubilee. :(

    RIP sir.

Agree! His stories will, however, live on for the enjoyment of all. RIP.

This one-hour CBC Radio special broadcast, hosted by Michael Enright, celebrates both Stuart and his wonderful legacy, with selections from the many great radio programmes he made over the years..

I wish I could find a link to the story where Arthur (the dog) was very sick, but the whole town thought Dave had cancer. Funniest episode ever!

There was a year when my daughter was being horrible but was still legally responsible and I had to drive 100 miles in to see her every Sunday. The Vinyl Cafe was the good part of every trip.
I once proposed at a town meeting we invite the Vinyl Cafe here and was disgusted that most people had no idea what that was and the 'who listens to CBC anyways' mindset. Sad now we'll not get the chance to try again.

Dave on impulse deciding to try the electric scooter in the supermarket - that was a good one too!
