WTF ! Horse meat ! 8O But then again the concept of Camel meat would be as weird to you as horse meat is to me.

Honestly though I never knew people ate horses ! Never even seen it on any exotic food shows like bizzare foods even.

Well, Europe is not really "exotic", and it is not bizarre either :D

Why? Although it has a distinguished taste that you have to like, kinda like deer meat. Not everyone likes that either :)

Or Ostrich. That has a "different" taste too :)

It's like deer meat in the "gaminess"? I've had deer, elk & moose and enjoyed them all [drool] . I've also tried buffalo, rabbit and goat.

I would think camel would be similar to deer? DD... can you answer this?

I must admit, though I always love to try new foods the idea of horse meat is very unappealing. I don't know if I could.

I've passed it off as beef a few times when having people over for dinner and nobody has ever doubted that it was anything else. I've used ground horse to make spaghetti sauce too.

From the sounds of it, I think you will like horse :) I don't really like rabbit tho, but I also don't like hare that much.

I'd love to try camel :) or alligator.

But if you knew the horse was humanely killed, you still wouldn't try eating horse meat, if not, why?

No I don't think so. The idea of it isn't appealing at all to me.

Again, why isn't it appealing?

My cousin wouldn't want to try it either... she saw the horse as a pet, like a dog or cat.

Gator is pretty good, hard to describe the taste though. Kinda like a cross between Turkey and Pork in texture.
