The bitch abandoned him as a child...I think that is worthy of criminal charges and negates any bond. The judge is being a putz.

BC needs to repeal the law as well.

Holy shit, that 73 yr old biddy has bigger balls than I do.

The "relevent" section of the B.C. Family Relations Act is retarded enough as it is. But when the parent themselves abandons their child(ren), then I don't see how that section could possibly be relevent.

Like wtf man? This has been going on for 11 years now? Once it was established she abondoned them, the case should have been tossed. Then we had the story the other day about the Alberta mother getting fuck all for mudering her newborn.

Is Manitoba hiring out its judges to other provinces or something???

She's going after three kids for $750.00 each plus her CPP. Looks like someone wants to retire in the Bahamas.

Looks to me like someone is nothing but a self-serving c**t.

This woman has failed at life in many respects. In the end, karma will bite her in the ass. She'll die alone and the only people at her funeral will be the priest, caretaker, and if she is lucky, her lawyer. She will have alienated everyone else in her life.

Damn, wait'll my daughter hears about that rarely used section of B.C.'s Family Relations Act. 8O

I guess I'll have to tell her to get a better payin job cause she's gonna be supportin Momma and Poppa in our old age. ROTFL ROTFL

There are instances where, morally the children should help out the parents but, in no way shape or form should a child ever have to be responsible for a parent, especially one as vindictive and utterly devoid of human emotions as this bitch.

The only reason I don't see this section of the family relations act being repealed is that it gives the government an out if they don't want to pay for the care of the elderly. Just tell mom or pop that the kids are responsible and bingo Governments off the hook.

Not as lucrative as appearing on porn sites where your husband rents you out.

$750 a month from each of them? Sounds like Mom wants to retire in Hawaii for the rest of her days.

You ditch your kids lady, they ditch you. They fend for themselves, you fend for yourself. Fairs fair.

I remember this story, the kids refused because they said their lives were living hells under her and they absolutely despised her.

It's a scary thought that people can be held legally endebted to someone who they had no say in being involved with. Parents choose to have children, they shouldn't be allowed to reach back and say "hey, you owe me."

It's an old law, understandable when it was introduced, before Pensions.

True enough, if parents did a decent job of raising their children,
there wouldnt be a need for such a law to exist today.

Help should come from love and respect, not greed and selfishness.

On the other hand, to just roll over and condemn older people to the care of
the State, doesnt say much for our society either.

DOesnt really apply here, though.
