We did discuss this at length on another thread but I think Jack has a point.
I'm just worried about the precedent that could be set here. It seems that there have been more and more calls for votes when the military moves and all it ends up doing is slowing their ability to respond in a timely manner.
It didn't happen for Haiti because everyone agreed, but the second combat or a controversial deployment is involved they want to start talking and voting on something that has never been subject to the same treatment before.
