Conservatives are good at talking a good patriotic game, calling Layton Taliban Jack etc. Not so much for looking after the soldiers they send to fight. Same story in the US with Bush.

Ya know, there are things I just don't like that our government does, or doesn't do, regardless of the party in power. But I can honestly say I HATE the sons-of-sea-whores that screw our veterans over.

At one time Veterans Affairs was run by Veterans for Veterans, but now it's a patronage bureaucracy that has it's adjucators politically appointed by the Government, much like the Senate.

Since Veterans Affairs bureacrats seem to be about keeping as much money as possible out of the hands of Veterans and in the Government Coffers. It's time to take politics out of the Department of Veterans Affairs and make it a stand alone entity, run by personnel not beholding to the Federal Government.
