Oops, somebody got to them because they didn't want the dirty laundry out in public. Wonder what they were paid for this plea, and what Liberal supporters paid it. There is no way these guys acted alone, they were just following orders.

Yeah, this is a complete travesty. First of all, the Liberals--allied with a broken court system that seems incapable of trying complex cases in a reasonable time frame--managed to hide this corruption (through a court-or4dered publication ban) for two elections.

Now--just before all the heavyweights like the provincial cabinet ministers had to take the stand--these guys plead out for a pittance and--lo and bwehold!--the province (against its policy) steps in to pay the lawyers price tag, a whopping six million dollars.

Also, the terms of the plea agreement mean we'll never get to the bottom of what happened. Business as usual--cover up and pay off.

Many believed the long delays would mean that they'd have charges set aside due to having their right to speedy trial violated, and the real truth would never be brought out.

Either way, the sheep people of BC should be rioting in the streets. I wish I could get the government to build such a valuable company using tax payer money and sell it for pennies on the dollar to me for only a token bribe to a few officials.

Ah, but the Liberals are good for business, keep the province prosperous. Not like those Dippers who couldn't run a peanut stand. (Which is why you never see any peanut stands in Vancouver. Only popcorn and hotdogs.)

Canada sold its entire fleet of aircraft carriers, cruisers, and nuclear submarines to me for $23.48 and a box of Timmie's to a few key players in Ottawa. [B-o]
