It wasn't until March of this year that he was suspended from his job at York University. I guess it's alright to call for the extermination of the Jews, but if you discuss Islamic fanaticism you get dragged before the CHRC. Nonsense. Some people on this site have and continue to advocate genocide against Muslims. It's rare, but I've seen it a few times. What shocked me most was that no one said anything. The turd posts just kind of sat there and stank.

What about the Spanish Inquisition of the 1500's where indigenous indians were mostly burned alive when they refused to convert to christianity and baptize Indian infants and then immediately dash their brains out; by this means they secured that these infants went to heaven.

And what about India it was ruled by Muslims for hundreds of years and surprise surprise yet Hindus are a majority in the populous nation today. Shouldn't they all have been exterminated by now !

Come on man ? I seriously don't believe you still hold on to such myths and "facts". It was kind of understandable in the aftermath of the 9/11 attacks but all these have been discussed and explained thousands of times by millions of people in every shape or form. Its the same as one believing that all Germans are Nazis and still consider Jews sub humans and would like to see them exterminated. See how stupid that sounds, thats exactly what you sound like to the majority of the world sane population, give your self more credit than than mate.

You know what I was actually very impressed when I first joined these forums that atleast the Canadians haven't fallen victim to this kind of redneck propaganda, although there were still a few wackos but the majority were a decent sane and well informed crowd. But the more time I spend here the more I start to think I was wrong.

As I say, Muzzies, get over yourselves, have a reformation already, find some enlightenment and join the civilized world. Not all Muslims are the same, lots of intelligent, civilized people among them. But way to many fruitcakes, way too many countries ruled by them, way too many Muslims who see it as their duty to make the whole world Muslim. Relax, have a beer, and you know, just enjoy life.

I think you nailed it when you said "join the civilized world." Although what you meant was "adopt western notions of morality and culture." Except that this is precisely what the Muslims in the Middle East do not want to to do.

As for "way too many Muslims who see it as their duty to make the whole world Muslim" let's at least be honest. While I don't necessarily disagree with your statement, to balance it bares pointing out that there are no Muslim run military bases in the Canada, the US or Western Europe. There are dozens of western military bases in Muslim countries. So you may be correct that fundamentlaist Muslims want to expand by conquest, the reality is that it is, in fact, the west that is expanding in the Muslims world. I don't blame the west for this, for the most part; it's a natural component of economic growth.

The struggle between Islam and the West is hardly new. It has endured for centuries. It strated off as Christian/Muslim struggle but, with the secularization of Europe has now been framed as "Islam versus the West."

I don't see it as a particualrly serious conflict. The military might of the Muslim world pales in comparison to that of the west, and they are not an existential threat. The most they are capable of is annoying the west with periodic terrorist attacks.

Once things start to heat up between the US and China, we'll all be pining for the good old days when our biggest worry was an occassional civilian airliner being taken out.

If the Taliban succeed in taking control of Pakistan then they'll be in control of some 30-55 nuclear weapons of strengths potentially ranging into the megaton range.

It is this potential threat that has the US so tied up trying to stop the Taliban in Afghanistan & northwest Pakistan because India made it clear that if the Taliban take control of that nuclear arsenal then India will immediately act to prevent the Taliban fron using those weapons. Were I India I'd do the same.
