Too many unanswered questions surrounding this guy. Authorities are investigating every sex assault and murder in all the areas he has lived in. That 'closure' may also include a lot of emotional pain that families don't need. A lot of details that can do more harm than good. Sometimes that isn't what is needed. If the guy killed himself, then it's done.

If he checks out without facing the music, then he checks out and it's done. The 'fuck you' comes when he's released in a few years while his victims are still dead.

Yes that would be the best for all concerned. The families of the victims won't have to go through the anguish. The investigations will give all the answers that they are going to get.

It will save the government a lot of money in housing this creep.

There will be no risk of him being released in a couple years essentially telling the families - You're screwed and reminding everybody "I was abase Commander".
