Has any of the guys here been to The Cecil at 1336 Granville Street downtown Vancouver.
Strip club, they scan your ID and take your photo.. strong deterrent to any gun play, because they can easily find out who your are and arrest your ass.
I guess they had some gun play in the past, and made changes.

The Iron Horse does that too.

What happened to simple pat downs?
Here in Toronto most respectable clubs will at least do that.

Doesn't help when all the gun play is taking place outside of the club

That was what I was thinking... How is the club responsible for this? Who knows where they came from?

Toronto pat downs are anything but respectable. I swear that chick copped a feel.

I used to hit the Cecil pretty frequently in the late 70's. Orange No 5 lots of times. The Empress in Chilliwack. Best party place was the Rockin' R in Edmonton.

He had to do it that many times to get the chick to even notice he was a guy.

Sometimes they are, because they don't actively eject anyone who is agressive. Some bars, like the York Hotel had more police and ambulance calls that some entire neighbourhoods of the city.
Bars like 'Diva' and 'Gingur Sky' catered to the 'gangster thug' crowd and refused to change their ways, given dozens of chances to try. The Iron Horse does not cater to an 'aggressive' sort of crowd.

It's kind of a vague story, that says "Iron Horse had shooting outside" and then goes to "this and this bar had shootings then and then, but that had nothing to do with this one".
So I, for now, come to the conclusion that Iron Horse is not to blame in any way.

That'd be fair, I had to do a double take on her to make sure myself.
