How ironic. The person that's supposed to be teaching them to defend themselves, is the one they need protection from.

It was quite a few years ago(at least 25) that they had a self defense expert on one of the talkshows. He was showing women how to defend thenselves from attack. The host trying to be funny asked, 'Well what happens if it's a man, like myself, being attacked by a woman?', to which the expert answered,'Just lay down and enjoy it.' Everyone laughed, but I've seen some guys - usually the skinny little gits - who've had the absolute shit kicked out of them by their 'two tons of fun' spouses.
