BTW, $1500 for a cable? I don't buy it. The exterior cables that I am familiar with are about $5 per foot, and can be spliced.

Telus Rules, Shaw Drools!
I had Shaw Cable in Alberta, then in my new place in BC. Both places always dropped signals, weak signals.
Switched to Telus DSL and never been happier. Sucks Cable Sucks big time.
When I cancelled with them, they said I had to return the modeum. O.K. no problem. Did like they asked, go to the local UPS office and they will send it to them for FREE.
Whet to the UPS office who stated, Shaw has no account.
O.K. called Shaw, they promised to send a paid self addressed envelope.
Never arrived.

Its one thing in my opinion if you let your trees grow up into lines and due to wind or ice storm or whatever the tree wreaks the line, one should be able to see this coming and trim their trees. However its a bit unreasonable to think a shed or car or whatever on your property might catch fire and then damage the line. Trees WILL grow, stuff will likely never catch on fire.

I used to have Shaw, and according to them, I was "at the end of the internet line, that is why my signal was bad". Well, I do not give a shit why it is, but I want 24/7 hi speed internet when I pay for that. I changed to Telus, never been happier. No outages anymore.
