He was "nieve and gullible"? How many people would have been killed by this "nieve and gullible" if he wasn't stopped. Thank God for the CSIS. A lot of people are alive and unhurt because of them.

There's being naive, and planning to kill people. You did the latter.

2Cdo 2Cdo: Nice apology, now f*ck off. Precisely. What's missing? The apology to Muslims for adding to the stereotype.

It's good that he realized he was wrong, but he is right. We can't forgive people who wanted to kill innocents for some stupid reason on behalf of some God that is from a supposed religion of peace.

IMO, a well written apology should benefit the victim, not the offender. if that is the case, then hats off to him. If he expects any sympathy or leaniancy, I hope he doesn't get it, unless of course it benefits the victims.
If I have my way, it is no longer about him, its about the victims. It should always be about the victims.

Since he was the mastermind, I hope he gets a stiffer sentence than those already convicted. Defense is seeking an 18 - 20 year sentence, so it sounds like the justice system is not going to be too naive this time. But I agree with prosecution, that he should get life. He needs to be watched forever if he's let out. And if he's not Canadian, he should be deported as soon as he gets out.
Now what about the father of another of the conspirators that is on trial right now. Daddy is an Imam who issued a fatwa that civilian casualties were OK, which convinced his son to go ahead with the plot to blow up the TSX. Why is daddy not charged as a co-conspirator, and why isn't his name being made public/

Probably because there wasn't enough evidence to charge Daddy the Immam with 'assisting in the commission of an indictable offence' or any conspiracy type offences.
