So do you have a problem with the police walking into your house to take a look around for no reason?

One not listed in the Constitution. I also have a right to not be subjected to arbitrary search and seizure. That one is in the Constitution. I have a problem with that being violated, in the name of 'safety'.

They can do it with the firearms registry.

I refuse to live in the kind of society where i'm a supposed criminal until proven innocent.

What has this got to do with my house? I don't drive my house down the highway.

Whats the difference between this and a regular check stop? When you go through a checkstop now they randomly decide who they're going to check.

It's like customs doing random searches.

The stats themselves do not lie that it is effective, but what's to stop them from random testing everything in our lives and moving towards a police state. I'm on the fence though.

Would your opinion change if you or someone you knew were affected by a drunk driver?
What about airport/border security and random screening tests? Seems similar to me.

Before someone goes off on some rant on me, I said I am on the fence about this and playing devils advocate.

Do you drink while coming back from work every night?

Some people do go across the border every day.

Then it may be time for you to leave Canada because that seems to be where Canada is going.

Well at the pace America is stripping away the rights of its citizens we'll place a distance second behind you when the race ends.

So what.......you own your house and you own your car, it's your property and someone is assuming you are guilty of a crime before you've committed one. If you have no problem with a little random road check, then you shouldn't have a problem with them coming into your home to look around to see what they can find. If you've got nothing to hide then this wouldn't be a big deal for you.

Not if you don't own a gun. Although CO can walk into your house to see if you have too many fish in your freezer. :P
