What hypocritical asses. They build Canada as their source for hunting and trapping, then get mad at us when we do those things.

Oh well. Lets stop the seal hunt all together, have Canada overflow with seals, so they move to Europe, the seals eat all their fish, and all the fishing companies go broke. They are already ruining the fishing industry with their qouta's so if you have the seal eating the sea empty, there is nothing to fish at left.

Hypocrits is right... Why don't they look in their own backyard and protest against Spain's, Portugual's and France's bull fighting. And doesn't some of the scandinavian nations seal hunt?

Who cares, PETA are always hypocrites always looking for media spotlight. They don't care about animal rights, that's why they never research about anything they protest. They are getting way more attention for the seal hunt than they ever did with spains bull fighting or cirucus's bear training. That is why they are focusing on the seal hunt than the real animal abuses. They see a animal being killed and that little tiny brain cell in there head flickers and sais it's protest time. They won't stop unti'll every single human is eating grass out of our own backyards.

There are more important animal abuses going on in the world as mentioned spains bull fighting along with circus bears, etc which are REAL animal abuses for nothing more than entertainement. Atleast the seal hunt has many valid uses for it which includes population management. All Canada wants to do is put a price tag and a use to the seals killed for population management. Putting money into the hands of small communities up there who depend on these fisher jobs to provide for there family.

Anyways who cares if europe bans the seal products or all fishing products. Thats there loss and infact europe consumers loss. Many fishing spots in Europe have long been over fished and virtually depleted. Canada is one of a few with many spots full of fish that can provide a wide variety of sea food. U.S. being another. I imagine europe will be bitching at there government soon enough and so would europes sea food restraunts. There is a big difference between the success of getting europe to ban Canada's seal products and banning all of Canada's fish products. Europe and many of europes citizens don't depend or use seal products very much. However many people enjoy sea food and many buisness's devote themselves to selling nothing but sea food. I'd really like to see PETA try and pull this one out of a hat but even if they did manage that. Who cares? Majority of our trade is with the U.S. anyways and aslong as they are not blind ignorant PETA supporters who follow there every word like they were gods. Canada's sea food buisness is solid. Might take a impact but won't go anywhere.

They already do. The seas are empty. It's all overfished and one fisherman after another goes bankrupt.

PETA can get bent. They used to be passable as a rational group of people that held enough sway to affect change. Now, they are in the same category as Greenpeace.
