So instead of "smoking" or "non-smoking" sections there will be "armed" or "un-armed".

WHY would they even pass a law like that? What the hell do you need it on you for in a restaurant? Gotta love that "Because we can" mentality.

Seems like a waste of time anyways because thugs packing illegal guns don't follow the rules anyways.
As I read it, they will let in folks carrying huns but those people don't get served booze. If the bar dosen't want guns, they can simply put up a sign on the front door.

Correct on all counts, which is why I can't figure out why they bother. Other than to say, "WE can do it". Idiots.

Say you just finished an interview at the Obama health care protest and you wanted to grab lunch? :D

The law allows non-drinking CCW permit holders to bring their guns into bars. The law was instituted, in part, because bars were being targeted for robbery by criminals who knew that bars were the one place in Arizona where the patrons were unarmed.

Arizona modeled their law after the highly successful law in Tennessee.

Since it's CCW, I guess the only way you'd know is if they took their jackets off or dropped their cover. Otherwise, properly done, they could look like anyone else. Seems reasonable to me.

Sorry, I have another one.

What do you call the guy that's packing heat and not drinking?
...
The "designated shooter".

Exactly.

What's amazing is that each time one of these laws is enacted the anti-gun crowd whines about mayhem in the streets and then when nothing happens and the crime rates drop they are totally silent.

What Arizona's law says is that a CCW holder who is not drinking is not barred from entering a bar. Essentially, someone who is a designated driver is not barred from carrying the gun they're legally certified to carry.

No more Music thread to "unload" my jokes on. :(
I had to "aim" elsewhere and find another "target".

Just for the record, I'm not anti-gun at all. Far from it. I'm simply "anti-feel-the-need-to-have-one-on-me" I simply don't understand mind set that makes people feel like they need to be armed with a gun (or knife, or any other weapon) at any given moment. Yes, I understand there's some sickeningly rough neighbourhoods, etc. in this world. Is my packing a gun going to make me feel safer in it? Probably not. If anything, it would unnerve me further.
