I really don't understand why terrorists are not tried for treason, especially the "home grown" variety of terrorist.

UK knows terroism and terror attacks. They have tasted them. Canada has not (not like the UK or US), I wonder (God forbid) if we had if our sentancing would be more in line with the UKs.

I hope 40 years really means 40 years and not some how get cut down to two for good behavior and compassionate release.

Once again I commend British security in stopping these terrorist from carrying out their plot. They did a superb job.

I think a much more fitting sentence should have been 1 bullet each. Why should the taxpayers of ANY civilized nation be forced to pony up for feeding, clothing and housing these pieces of shit? Bullets are cheap and should be used unsparingly in meting out punishment for traitors and terrorists. And for added measure, slather 'em up in bacon grease before sending 'em to hell!!

I agree with you but it wouldn't be PC. It would simplify things a whole lot if we did. If we developed the fear in these assholes that we are going to be equally brutal and slather them in bacon grease that terrorism would lose its appeal in a very short time. It has been done in history and worked real well.

I think that the first time Canadians have to line up bodies on the ground, identify bodies using DNA and go through that horror as we did in the States and the UK Canada will revisit their penalties. How much they would change would be up to the Canadian Government and the Canadian people, but when you deal with the gore of a terrorist attack one's outlook changes.

I hope it never occurs.

Oh man I know. I'm so sick of this PC shit when it involves garbage like these people.
You can't fight cold blooded mass murderers with flowers and sunshine.
