>>>It alleged the Briton took down his trousers and started waving his genitals at a number of girls. He then specifically "forcefully fondled" the 26-year old Greek woman, asking her to take hold of his genitals. <<<

One can say she overreacted but I can't say I feel sorry for him.

Self defense would have been a knee in the crotch... This is assault, imo... Unnecessary...

Agreed. Self defence means means using the amount of force necessary to protect one's self. Setting someone on fire is using deadly force, which means she would need to prove that her life was threatened in order to justify the act. Then again maybe in Greece they have a different set of standards when it comes to that sort of thing.

Even that might be assault. She could have walked out the bar.

BTW, this is SOP for Brits in Greece.

The outcome was a little extreme but you have to wonder how long he had his little helicopter out of the hanger. Obviously it was enough time to have it washed in alcohol then later lit up. Unless he was a stripper "stirring" drinks.......he really should have had landed that thing and put it away long before the landing light came on.

This is typical "Brits abroad" behaviour.

The UK has a real problem with anti-social behaviour and the tolerance level in Europe for this stuff is now pretty low.

The UK is in a mess on so many levels.

A little much, It's not like he had her cornered in an ally, this was in a club and she could have just hit him or grabbed on and twisted (though he might like that kinda thing).
This goes beyond self defense.

EyeBrock EyeBrock:
This is typical "Brits abroad" behaviour.

From my time living in Medicine Hat, I can vouch for that. The Hat, on any given weekend, can be full of Brits.

They like to start shit, for sure. Of course, the town is full of rig pigs and cowboys, so more often than not, the Brits can get in over their heads.

Robair,

I was last in the UK in 2007 ( and remember, I was born and brought up there!) and I went out most nights with mates I worked with and went to school with.

Every night out involved violence on various levels around us, a few times the violence was directed right at us.

Even during the day in the centre of Manchester, gangs of feral kids roved and threatened at will.

It's a sad society, violent and nasty and I'm glad I'm no longer part of it. Canada is my home, my kids were born here and I'm just glad to be here!

Even in Mexico earlier this year, the Brits (easy to spot as they wear soccer shirts everywhere) were the ones to steer clear of once they had been drinking.

Not good.

This Brit in Greece got dealt with harshly because of the thousands of drunken British idiots before him.

In 2003 I was in Sydney Australia during the world cup and we were drinking and watching the strippers in Kings Cross, this one Brit sat in the front row and commented quite loudly how loose and disgusting the vagina was, the stripper walked off stage butt naked and smacked him out of his chair......she got a lot of tips from us canucks...lol
