I want to live in society where law abiding gun owners out number the criminals, and our government directed police forces.

Do I really need to explain why?

Yeah let's just put a stop to gun registration. That way when some asshole who's not a hunter or farmer which is the majority of Ontario seeing how we are mostly city. When they abuse the power of having a un-registered weapon. How the hell are you suppose to find out who owned the gun? No registration, no tracks.

All they got to worry about is finger prints which imo can be solved by wearing gloves.

Good job tories for being idiots.

 Unless you've been asleep the last few years, the gun problem in Canada isn't coming from people that own long guns.

there are definitely some double standards with the anti-gun crowd.

If I say that I want to have a firearm for personal protection, they are quick to say that I am "paranoid".

Yet, taking away all firearms from all law abiding civilians isn't "paranoid"?

Whats up with that?

Yes, you just said:
$1:
When they abuse the power of having a un-registered weapon.
My worry would be with the people who don't register, and use their weapons for crime. Which seems like a pretty easy theory to understand. The people that are committing crimes with guns aren't the people registering their guns. Hence why have a registry if the people we are after aren't using it?

Nobody should be concerned about registering their guns any more then we are concerned about registering our cars.

We should be concerned that the registry is the first step in a gun ban though.

I agree with that part.

Cars are a provincial matter though and I'd have less worry if Toronto or whoever wanted to ban firearms in their region. I'm sure it would be a fiasco but their welcome to try.

I think we can all agree that fighting the street violence that is present on city streets is important.

But, how much value will a longgun registry have when the goal should be to get these punks off the street and in jail?
