Other than the fact this is a terribly written story... Let me recapulate...
2 sisters had a "weight loss" surgery done by this guy. 2 other women too. (and I expect 100s of others too over the years)
The 2 sisters had regularly sex with him. I assume they enjoyed (why continue otherwise, right?) 2 other women had regularly sex with him, one even for as long as 7 years, and "thought she was the only one", which, imho, makes me think, SHE thought she had a relationship with the guy.
Conclusion: "we women are taken advantage of, so we need to punish him, by ruining his life"
Ladies: get a f*ckin life. It sucks. You were there out of free will. Now you found out about eachother, cope with it. People are not always honest.
Doc: you should have known better and not start "sexual relations" with your patients. In the end, you only f*ck yourself.
Still, I'm sorry you get your license revoked because of a couple of "heartbroken" bitches that want revenge.

No matter how you feel Brenda, it is still against the Code of Ethics:
Medical doctors have a professional Code of Ethics which has been developed to guide the behaviour of all members of the profession. One serious violation of the Code is the sexual exploitation of a patient by a medical doctor. Sexual exploitation occurs when the medical doctor is involved with a patient in any sexual manner.
Patients may see the medical doctor as a helper or as a focus of authority and as a result may feel an emotional dependence or physical attraction to their medical doctor. It is never "OK" for a medical doctor to respond in a sexual way. It makes no difference if you, the patient agree to any act or actively participate in any act; the medical doctor is always responsible to stop the development of any romantic or sexual relationship.

acidcomplex acidcomplex: oh yeah it was ALL his fault eh, Of course it was his fault. A doctor has an obligation not to take advantage of his patients, who more often then not are in a vulnerable state. Especially the two sisters who were going through gastric bypass and were overweight, and very likely to be insecure.

I know that. He should have been so smart and hand those girls over to another doc. Problem solved. They should have turned to another doc for their medical things.

[/rant] I wholly agree with you, Brenda, but the doc was in breach of his code of conduct, as Hyack has pointed out.

That's right, they aren't supposed to attend to family. Seems a little draconian to revoke his license, though.

Be a doctor in a small town, and you can't treat half of the people because in someway you are related. It is pure professionalism to treat your patients as patients, even your relatives.

Interesting case. He does have a code of ethics to follow, which was being violated with several patients. There decision making process is hard to judge because he is an authority figure, but this also happened outside of the office. Interesting case.
