Wow...that's a lot of effects from global warming. They missed one though. Apparently global warming killed the Loch Ness monster.

Bogus pseudo-science.

Even if the world collectively managed to freeze greenhouse-gas emissions at current levels, scientists say the climate is already "committed" to significant warming for hundreds of years to come.

Uhm, so if we can't do anything about it why do these idiots want us to do something about it?

Just because, that's why. Didn't you read the "Scientists say" part? You're not supposed to ask any questions after that. Just substitute the word priests for Scientists, and it becomes clearer. Don't make the mistake of thinking scientists means all scientists though. We're only talking about the scientists who "say".

I prefer the original text myself. It goes something like, "and man ate of the apple of knowledge, and he knew sin". So see if you know stuff, and you do stuff with that knowledge, you're bad. It's OK though, because if you buy indulgences (carbon offsets) from the church of Gore, or Kyoto, or whatever "scientists say" you can be forgiven.

The climate system is "a noisy, chaotic system and there is a lot of natural variation," says Zwiers, cautioning against reading too much into the cold spell in Canada.

There now...fixed.

The study is not without its limitations, says Zwiers. It would be better to have evidence stretching back 50 to 100 years. But he says the new study "largely overcomes the sampling limitations because of the sheer number of changes" included in the assessment

Once again a scienctist takes the path of least resistance, to achieve the outcome that they want.

If they have no evidence past 50 years ago, maybe they should ask somebody who was around then, what the weather was like. [?] Duhh

This method is just as scientific as lumping every climate event into a group and saying that because there were so many, it's "likely" human caused.

Wouldn't the term "Global Warming" imply global aka widespread effects? Hmmmm.... Must have been a government sponsored study :)

8O Not the Loch Ness monster too! ROTFL

I think we can safely add the following to the list as well: Cancer, Al Gores hair loss, bread turning stail, strippers falling off poles, bad breath in the morning, Saraha Jessica Parker, the death of Captian America, not being able to fly a kite on a perfect day with out wind, lack of global peace, and just to be on the safe side we could also add the taste of American beer.

Yes people these are all cause by global warming and if you try to deny it I will call you a .. denier and say your in denial. So please don't try to argue because you'll simply be emitting more CO2 and aggravating the problem.
