Why am I not suprised that this dosen't work either...

These rogue slaves can't legally work for anyone else and if their caugh, they should be deported. If their caught working for someone else, their wages should be garnesheed the missing tax money plus a heathy penalty and the remainder used to send them back home.

They made a deal and they screwed us around. They shouldn't get a second chance.

Rogue slaves? I worked in Kentucky for three and a half years on temporary worker permits. Same thing. I could only legally work for the company that applied for my permit.

It's not slavery. You negotiate your wage ahead of time and you are free to leave at any time. I agree with the rest of your post, just give the 'slavery' terminoligy a rest, yea?

If you're missing people I'd suggest to start looking in the USA where illegal immigrants get welfare cheques on demand.

The flips are always running away here, but then they really are treated like animals by their Chinese employers. There are always shocking stories of abuse, but the frequency has gone down ever since a bunch of thai labourers rioted over their conditions a few years back. They were kept locked in over crowded barracks and could only buy from a company store within the barracks. They were building the Kaohsiung subway, and were sub contracted by the city government. The attention brought needed change(not that the construction companies wanted to change).

Don't the Chinese pretty much treat everyone like animals? (the government that is, not the everyday citizen).

These are taiwanese, although there isn't a big diffrence between the way they view other asian people and the mainlanders do.

If by "flips", you mean Philipino's then Canadian's get a share of that inhumanity too. The nanny empoyment program is widely abused.

No. No where near that but we're Canadian so even something half as bad upsets us twice as much.

Lets just put GPS tracking bracelettes on all immigrant workers... that way we could find them when the bugger off like that! It could be a condition of entry at the border ;-)
