Wonder when Bart gets back from being AWOL if he'd mind stopping off to see this POS.

Don't know but dogs like that are usually kept in secure settings. Not for the public's protection but for the protection of the dog from being stolen. The breeder I got my dogs from have an elaborate security system and fencing. If it's an ex-police dog herself then she should have been in a secure enclosure. I know of one retired police dog that still lives with his handler and family but can never go out with anyone but him. Totally free to play with his kids at home like a regular family pet.

The RCMP own the dog, but it's not a trained police dog. Their raised by regular dog lovers, and there is no big deal about security. My cousin’s wife looked after one for about a year on their acreage, but then had to give it up cause they moved to Calgary. She worked for a Vet in Red Deer and that's how she got into it. The dog they looked after lived in a portable kennel held together by a 1/2 dozen hose clamps in the corners. They both worked and the dog stayed in the kennel until one of them came home, they walked the dog on leash and wasn’t allowed to run free. This dog in the story was found dead in a ditch, the cops don’t seem to be releasing to much info for some reason.

I went back to read the comments, there's a lot of jumping to conclusions there i feel. What you see in the article is all the info that's been released. It was the Innisfail paper that mentioned it was found a ditch, but other than that they were both the same story.
