How could she not realize she was involved in an illegal activity? I don't think we are getting the full story...

Watch some of the tapes of her when she goes into her fits. She'll look around to make sure a camera is on her and then she goes back into her devastated mode.

It's ironic that one of the major "spokespersons" for the Liberals and against the Conservatives is a prisoner.

Ironic? I thought it was a pretty good fit.

Liberals and criminals are on and the same. When she gets back to Canada I hope they throw her in the can for a few weeks while they process her release.

From what Ive heard she was the guys chrf/cook where he was living no???.. I say A total boycott of MEXICO and any of its products.... And let me tell you folks something they are soooo corrupt down there its not funny,,, I read a book about that DEA agent that was killed in Mexico a number of years ago and when all was said and done it was officers of the federal police who were involved who were workig for thr drug trafficers.. And the level of bribery and graft that goes on there is rediculous... When I was truckin to LAredo years ago a few guys went to Boys town accross in Mexico and were sight seeing a bit.. Well because they walked into a strip bar and were about to leave right away with out buying an over priced drink, were thrown in jail and had to pay 250.00 USD to get out......I could go on But if any one from Cajgary remebers the radio host who went down with some winners of a contest couple of years ago, he was attacked and robbed by the police that are there to protect the touyrists lol

ok I'll be the first one to say that I don't know a lot about this but IMHO if you go to another country and are found guilty of a crime shouldn't you just kinda have to suck it up??

I mean just because I'm canadian doesn't mean i can break laws in other countries and assume that I'm gonna be allowed to go home to serve my sentence...

Hell all she had to do was bribe the judge, the whole Mexican justice system is a fucking joke. Currupt and ass backward.

Time for a boycott of Mexico's most important resource, tourism.

Martin has been held in custody since February 2006 and had to remain in jail while the legal process played out. The Mexican justice system places the onus on the accused to prove his or her innocence -- rather than on the prosecution to prove the guilt of the accused

Martin has been convicted of knowingly accepting illicit funds from an Internet fraud scheme operated by Alyn Waage. Martin had been Waage's chef until she was fired

Buddy she was the cook,... And lets operate as if we are in CANADA where you are innocent until proven beyond a resonable doubt... Im prtty sure thet had the trial gone on here she would have been sent home a long time ago

I have some serious issues with her being released.
I think it's pretty clear she's guilty and that the Mexicans did an effective investigation.
Foreign affairs already got slapped on the wrist for telling the public about the lengths they went to help her and I'm damned sure that she would have probably got a trial and been out had she took one of the recommended lawyers and stopped screwing up her own defense.
By releasing her we prove that you can get out if you make enough noise.
