$1:
"Corporate donations are illegal, but because a bid on an auction of a unique value is not considered a donation, it's not illegal," she said.

But where does the money go? "To the Liberal Party," she explained.

Oh yes these people still think they are entitled to their entitlements

An EI fund they used exclusively for the debt thereby saving you personally at least several thousand dollars if not far more over the last decade or so.

In addition you should be more concerned with Harper now because his gov't is using the fund in exactly the same manner.

Are you bothered by the use of the EI fund or simply bothered that it was the Liberals who used it?

Sorta remarkable how the LIBRANOs style themselves as the party of the people and the CPC is representative of BIG BUSINESS..........

DerbyX buys into this nonsense---when the reality is the the LPC is firmly entrenched in Bay Street and Power Corp. Their funding woes are a result of their lack of a grass-roots following.

 Just as they are all commie socialists and the enemy of big buisness. Of course the fact that the CPC is in bed with big oil just means they have good buisness sense.

Yetiboy (ill)logic at its best.

$1:
New Democratic MP Charlie Angus said anything above the price of the golf or hockey game should be a donation, and the $1,100 annual limit for individual donations should be respected.

Stop the presses! An NDP says something intelligent and well thought out! Make that man party leader.

1) Biggest provider to the economy is very debatable.

2) The problem isn't that the CPC is cozy with big oil but that anti-Liberal fuckwits say that when the Libs partner up with big buisness its somehow dirty yet when the Cons do it suddenly they are simply promoting the Candian economy.

Get it now?

They need all the help they can buy..

Conservatives lead in poll, Liberals ready to topple gov't
Thu, 2008-02-14 07:13.
Jason Mayoff
With a federal election looking more and more likely this spring -- the Conservatives have the lead in public opinion at 37%.

Still, that wouldn't be enough to win them a majority government with the Liberals at 32% in the Leger Marketing survey.

The NDP is at 16%.

The latest news fueling election speculation is a report that Stephane Dion has had it up to here -- and is going to tell his troops to vote against the budget that comes out in a couple of weeks.

With a little help from the opposition that would topple the government -- and send us to the polls in early April.

Except I'm not an anti-conservative, just anti-fucktards which is why I spend most of my time defending.

Far from under estimating the contribution from the energy sector I fully realize it which is why I opposed kyoto, not because I disbelieve global warming from human sources (only the uneducated do that) but rather I think it targets nations in an unfair manner and its legislation will unfairly impact provinces more then others. A means to achieve kyoto without sacrificing jobs is the only viable solution.
