What gives this asshole the right to say anything when Germany won’t go into the South to play with the big boys. I say come on down there’s enough war for everyone. My gut reaction is similar to Alt`s. It`s not the task of Canada to lobby other NATO members to pony up to their responcibilities. Germany may have become a kinder, gentler country but if they won`t help, and fight, when NATO calls, there`s no reason for NATO to protect them.

Be careful for what you wish for. We have already seen the results when the nations of Europe become militaristic. This is especially the case for Germany where they are almost reminded too often than never about the wars they were heavily involved in the last century.
