[quote from article}
"Creating the national park would fulfil and expand an initiative first proposed in 1970, when Liberal Pierre Trudeau was prime minister, while the Ramparts River proposal dates back at least four years."

Gee, I guess Trudeau had some good ideas. Although this is something that should have been dome long ago, it is a no brainer and an easy quick fix. Once again an attempt to deflect from the lame CON Party agenda on environmental issues. As usual anything good the CONartist Party comes up with is a recycled idea repackaged as their own.

How is it Harpers fault that none of the governments since Trudeau did this? I'm suprised Mulroney, Canada's Greenest Prime Minister, didn't do this. :-)

Has anybody ever seen this place? Many of these new parks are so remote, it might as well be the moon.

So you agree that the north needs to be protected from development. You also seem to agree that the timing on it is just a smokescreen to hide not doing anything on more pressing environmental issues.

Harper seems to think he did on this issue at least. What happened to your blind faith in your leader?

..actually, I'm just the opposite. I'd welcome mining and drilling so people could live up north and would cement Canada's claim of the north. I want to see it done in a ecological and sustainable way, and I'd like to hire as many natives as possible, so they can get out of their welfare trap.
You're also assuming that Trudeau was going to do something that he said he would...

I have noticed that anything worthwhile the Tories do the LIBRANOSs claim was their idea but something they, the LIBRANOs started, which gets into rough times (like the Kandahar mission in Afghanistan) is suddenly a Tory initiative according to the same trolls.
