Just to warn you... the photos in this article are awful.

I still maintain that the useless shits who treat animals this way should experience the same treatment. Chain them to a post or whatever with no food, water or shelter for a few days at least to see how they like it. Sounds barbaric I know but simply sending them to jail means they will have shelter, food and water unlike the innocent creatures they tortured.

One of the few good things that can come from such barbarity is that people who engage in such acts should be cataloged and added to a registry similar to a sex offender one. Once registered they should never be allowed to hold a license for a firearm, own an animal and need to disclose their status if they want to marry.

It would clear up a LOT of crime.

There were a couple headline locally that I will not post.

Such people should be removed from society for a very long time.

It's the idiots who BUY pets. I have friends who bought 2... no shots, no tattoos, no papers. Paid $1000 for one $600 for the other.
Mine's from someone raised like me, please just take it so I don't have to feed him. Shots, tattoos, neutering wasn't that much! And a cross breed mutt that won't be plagued by inbred health problems. Mine's the best little buddy that ever wuz. My friends 2 spend their days in cages or tied up to the porch on such short leashes you gotta wade thru shit to get to the front door.

Grampa told me never to pay more for a pet than the cost of the shovel that will bury it.

Agreed. I've known a few people who have spent a ridiculous amount of money to "order" a dog.

Though ideally it's best to have them fixed before the inevitable happens, all it used to take was posting a few signs around a neighbourhood for "free kittens/puppies" and no problem finding homes. I've known many people who did this and both cats I've had I acquired through people I knew who knew someone whose cat had them. Animal shelters are also full of pets that need loving homes and though they charge at least the money goes towards looking after the others.

I've never understood why someone would have a dog only to keep it tied up outside and not allowed in the house. If your home is "too good" for a cat or dog then don't bother at all. A pet is a part of the family and should be treated as such.
