On a personal note... some extended family (mother, 2 children, husband stayed behind to defend) that were in Lviv have made it to Warsaw, Poland and to the Canadian embassy. Awaiting word that they will receive their visas (may take a couple of weeks) and be coming to Canada to stay with my 2nd cousin in Edmonton.

Other, closer, extended family remain in western Ukraine, not willing yet to leave.

I posted that on April 17th. I have heard from my aunt that they have safely arrived in Edmonton. She sent me a picture from the airport of them with my 2nd cousin. A big adjustment for them to make but I'm sure with the support of the community there they will be just fine.

The other relatives are still in Ukraine and coping.

Oh ffs when is the Russian leadership going to realize that the information world has shrunk again!
