High concentrations of more than a dozen chemicals were found in the Victoria harbour, including lead, mercury and PCBs. The highest levels were found near the Point Ellice Bridge, more commonly known as the Bay Street bridge.
Well, duh. Back 80 years ago the leadership in Victoria saw fit to destroy all the amazing Victorian estates along the Gorge and turn it into an industrial quagmire. No shit that it needs a cleanup!
Thank God the Point Ellice House survived that insanity! Amazing place and one of the best places for high tea in all of Vic.
