And you've double-posted me Doc. Shall I start counting?

Concerning the article though, the Mail seems a bit dubious about whether Wikileaks claims are true, but if they are this is kind of scary.

According to a document in 2014, CIA's Embedded Devices Branch met to discuss malware that could infect vehicle systems.

Giant WikiLeak of agency's secrets reveals it infiltrates iPhones, smart TVs and Whatsapp

My understanding was that with the new whisper encryption of whatsapp you can't access stuff without the security code changing, and it notifying you (provided you have it turned on). Tell you that either the phone has changed, or someone is snooping. The guys behind Signal put it together, and the consensus is it hasn't been broken yet. Unless they attack the phone itself, but that's not compromising the encryption of those apps. That's compromising the phone and that's a whole other ballgame.

Netsec guys are already going through this. So far I'm reading most if not all android exploits are old and patched or unusable for another reason.

UMBRAGE has interesting ramifications on the Russia hacked DNC emails claim. CIA can plant the traces of foreign powers on their hacks.

WikiLeaks Exposes Purported CIA Cyberhacking Tools
$1:
WASHINGTON—WikiLeaks released thousands of documents and files Tuesday that it said exposed tools the Central Intelligence Agency uses to hack smartphones, computer operating systems, messenger applications and internet-connected televisions.

The unauthorized disclosure—the first part of which WikiLeaks said consisted of 8,761 documents and files from the CIA’s Center for Cyber Intelligence—confronts President Donald Trump with a threat from the very organization that leaked documents on his opponent, Democrat Hillary Clinton, during the 2016 presidential campaign

Vault 7: CIA Hacking Tools Revealed
$1:
Today, Tuesday 7 March 2017, WikiLeaks begins its new series of leaks on the U.S. Central Intelligence Agency. Code-named "Vault 7" by WikiLeaks, it is the largest ever publication of confidential documents on the agency.

The first full part of the series, "Year Zero", comprises 8,761 documents and files from an isolated, high-security network situated inside the CIA's Center for Cyber Intelligence in Langley, Virgina. It follows an introductory disclosure last month of CIA targeting French political parties and candidates in the lead up to the 2012 presidential election.

There are exploits for every single OS in this, including open source software like Linux.

You genuinely have no idea what you're reading do you?
