Geez. We are losing everyone cool and talented this year. Bowie, Lemmy, Merle Haggard and now Prince.
RIP.

Farrah Fawcett and Michael Jackson die at the same time. Chyna and Prince die at the same time.

Wasn't a fan but he was pretty talented and his Super Bowl Performance was one of the better ones in years.
Here's a question though. Why were the crime lab and medical examiner called in to what they are saying is a death by natural causes?
$1:
Authorities in Chanhassen, Minn., responded to a medical emergency call from Prince's famed home recording studio Paisley Park on Thursday morning. The crime lab and medical examiner were also called to the scene
.
RIP Prince.

Thanos Thanos:
Yow. RIP to one hell of a talented little weirdo.
1999 and Little Red Corvette were like anthems in my high school. Pretty much stopped listening to him after the name change/weird symbol stuff.
57.. that's not nice. RIP

Wasn't a fan of his songs, but I used to listen just for the guitar licks/solos.
Little fella had chops!

Ditto. Sad that he passed, but a "legend"? Mmmm, no. Good guitar player? Talented showman? Sure, but a couple of minor pop hits 30 years ago does not a legend make.

He was an enormous talent, capable of operating I several genres--soul, funk, rock n roll. I remember "Tonight I'm gonna party like it's 1999" in 1984! Really turned my head on that smoking solo on Let's Go Crazy, and realized the breadth of his talent with Purple Rain. Very much a pop artist all the way but with whispers of deeper meaning.

Wow.
I can't say I was a huge fan but a few of his songs I always liked, especially Purple Rain which I'm listening to right now...
