Boyx father speaks: http://www.castanet.net/edition/news-st ... htm#147914

$1:
McIntosh said he, his two sons and their dog were crossing the highway together when the incident occurred.

He said his son was off his bike, pushing it through the crosswalk with a green arrow.

"He hit my son, stopped and went again," said McIntosh describing the incident.

"Obviously didn't see my son. I'm yelling at him to stop...he started up again. He had no idea my son was under his tires."

Still visibly shaken, McIntosh said he's angry.

"You spend all this time teaching children to be safe... (and they) can't be safe crossing on a green light."

Same age as my daughter, happened just about right outside of where I work.

I'll be really impressed if something comes of this. My expectation is that the cop is going to be cleared of wrongdoing and the incident will be ruled an accident.

But had anyone else done it there'd be a grocery list of charges thrown at them.

These new model trucks have terrible visibility. Add to that, this truck looks like it has a suspension lift.

I drive a 2014 f-150 and my number one complaint is I can't see shit. All of these new vehicles have huge dashboards and tiny windows.

Last truck was a 1999 f-150 and I prefer driving it.

Sounds like dangerous operation of a motor vehicle to me. Whether anything comes of it might depend on his driving record to date.

Fucking tragic.

The fear and pain that poor kid would have gone through.

Not the same school as my daughter, but would have been the same grade.

The story says they were crossing on a green arrow. I've never heard of an arrow used as a pedestrian signaling device.
