You should check out PETA, while we're on this topic. They're pretty disgusting with how they handle animals (97% killed I think)

This is sadly way more common than you think. I've seen a few episodes of Border Patrol/Security,whichever is the Canadian one, where so-called animal lovers have been nailed for animal cruelty at the border because their SUV and the smallest U-Haul trailer you can rent was crammed with dogs.
