I'd track the bastard down and charge him with involuntary manslaughter. Criminal actions should have criminal consequences.

I'm just thinking to track them down and send in a wet team. F*ck their 'rights'.

Yes it is. Been retired almost a year and seen this ransomware hudreds of times. Met half a dozen people who ran to the police station and professed their innocence. The cops gave them my number to clean their computers. Know one guy who hanged himself from a clothesline and shot himself in the head. I know he wasn't autistic. I saw his computer, he was guilty. Some of the outraged might say that was justice by the same malware.
Stupid is stupid. Autistic /= stupid.

Autism is confusing because you can be a little or a lot. If you are lucky enough to someday meet a Severely Autistic peep, you might think they are SO stupid but, they know things you haven't even thought of yet.

It is a defining trait that people with autism lack the ability to predict what will happen next. It's not that he was stupid, he was likely in a state of extreme anxiety as a result of his belief that he was in trouble and saw suicide as his only way out.
Very sad, it is too bad he wasnt able to talk to someone about it.

Asperger's is the confusing one. , because many of them are hyper-intelligent....they just don't get normal human interactions. I deal daily with those afflicted with FASD(a good 1/2 - i'd say 2/3 because many go undiagnosed - of the student population has it to some degree or another) and they too are easily taken advantage of by others....that and lack of impulse control really gets 'fun' at times.

Seems that the individual in the OP isn't the only one to be bullied into suicide
I just watched that new Hollywood movie about Alan Turing, last night. We drove "Issac Newton" to kill himself. There is even a hint of Asberger's syndrome, in his case. Whatever, it was his "differentness" that really got him.

Wow. That makes me even happier that Target failed miserably in Canada. That is one disgusting policy they have. Violation of basic human rights, zero due process. Yep, sure sounds like corporate America.
