Probably a good idea. Sugar and starches are more likely to raise cholesterol levels than fats will. And there are some fats the body needs for enzymes that it can't produce itself.
I don't each much meat, but lots of veggies. I still have bacon for breakfast Sundays, and my LDL cholesterol is well below the average populations levels and they were frighteningly high only a few years ago when delivered pizza was a staple food for me.
Bacon drippings and molasses eaten with fresh bread is the best thing ever!
