The hard right wants nothing to do with East or West.

The nationalists want Ukraine to be sovereign and not just to trade a Russian puppet master for a Western puppet master. I personally can appreciate their point of view. It's about time that Ukraine had a government that put Ukrainians first ahead of foreign interests.

If a major party would adopt this into their platform it would serve to bring the more radical elements into the fold.

That policy idn`t work too well for the Deutschnationale Volkspartei in the late 1920s and early 1930s.

The LPC won't keep a leash on him - he has the leash on the LPC. Without him they'd still be in the dumpster, and they know it. He owes them nothing, they owe him everything.

Well, he is a novice. One should expect gaffs.

Obvious partisan hyperbole is obvious.

You think that's partisan? You should look up that big word then. ;)

The Russians are moving forces into the Crimea. Analysts suspect that Russia is planning a 'coup' to retake the Crimea for Russia.

Well I'M confused. There is absolutely no mention of this on Pravda!

http://english.pravda.ru/news/hotspots/ ... e_lenin-0/

There's a little obit for a guy who died defending the Lenin memorial, yesterday. He was done in with a "traumatic weapon".
In Russia, that could be an AK-47 or a flint axe.

Pravda is the old guard. The new voice of Russian doublspeak is RT.com

Putin has Russian forces in Ukraine on alert. The Russians are also staging protests by ethnic Russians calling for the 'independence' of the Crimea from Ukraine.

I'm still expecting Russia to move to seize the eastern part of Ukraine this week.

$1:
Since Yanukovich's downfall on Friday, all eyes have been on Putin, who ordered the invasion of neighboring Georgia in 2008 to protect two self-declared independent regions with many ethnic Russians and others holding Russian passports, and then recognized the regions as independent states.

That's pretty much what he did in Georgia. Said the troops had to move in to protect Russian Citizens. Definitely something to be concerned about.

Kinda reminds me of how George Zimmerman so thoughtfully rendered assistance to Trayvon Martin.

Don't know if Russia is going to be able to control itself here.

http://mobile.reuters.com/article/idUSL ... 8?irpc=932

$1:
At least 20 men wearing the uniform of Russia's Black Sea fleet and carrying automatic rifles surrounded a Ukrainian border guard post on Friday, in a tense standoff near the port city of Sevastopol in Ukraine's Crimea region.

A Reuters reporter in the Balaklava district saw Ukrainian border police in helmets and riot gear shut inside the border post, with a metal gate pulled shut and metal riot shields placed behind the windows as protection.

A servicemen who identified himself as an officer of the Black Sea Fleet told Reuters: "We are here ... so as not to have a repeat of the Maidan."

I think this is going to get much worse before it gets better. Maybe years worth of bad.
